Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

The school will be closed this Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is an annual national holiday celebrated in the United States on the 4th Thursday in November. This is a day to “give thanks” by gathering with family and friends for a traditional meal that includes a turkey. This holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621. On behalf of The Scholars' Academy, we hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoys this time with loved ones to give thanks for all the good things in life.

Scholars’ Academy Gets 3rd Place in Entire City: Principal's Compliance Award!

There are over 1,100 schools in NYC.

Each one must adhere to compliance items which originate from laws, regulations, and policies.

The award earned this year reflects the work of numerous staff members: safety items, special education items, immunization items, programming, mentoring, English language learner items, budget items, etc. The list is exhaustive and exhausting.

Winners of the 2019 PSAL Girls Volleyball B Tournament

This past Saturday the PSAL held its annual Girls Volleyball B Tournament at Metropolitan Campus. Ten of the top B teams participated in a fun filled day with tons of excitement and competition. The Scholars' Academy and Leon M. Goldstein traded point for point in all three sets of the championship game. In the first set, The Scholars' Academy was led by Senior OH #16 Nina Melchiorri’s attacks and serving. Senior Libero #6 Catherine Young’s jump floater serve gave Goldstein some early problems in the third set. Young continued to lead Scholars' Academy with her impeccable passing, followed by back-row attacks. Congratulations to The Scholars Academy for winning the 2019 PSAL Girls Volleyball B Tournament.
